We are pleased to share that our new review article, “Bridging the Resolution Gap in Recurrent Prostate Cancer Imaging: Quantum Dots as PSMA-Targeted Optical Probes,” has been published online in ACS Omega.
This work is particularly special to us because it grew out of our Nanobiotechnology course at NYU Abu Dhabi. A group of highly motivated students from the class — Yugmee Gidiya, Jiya Chaudhary, Annafew Biswas, Mandy Liao, and Marine Ramaroson — voluntarily took on the challenge of developing our classroom discussions into a full scientific review article.
The review explores how quantum dots and PSMA-targeted optical imaging could help bridge the resolution gap between whole-body imaging and cellular-level analysis in recurrent prostate cancer, while also discussing current challenges in biocompatibility and clinical translation.
It is wonderful to see a project that began in the classroom develop into a peer-reviewed publication. Congratulations to all of the student authors for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and persistence throughout the process!
